Joshua A. Russell, assistant professor of music education at The Hartt School, has had an article, titled "Assessment Practices of Secondary Music Teachers," accepted for publication in the Journal of Research in Music Education (JRME).

Russell also had an article titled "Factors Influencing Undergraduate Music Education Majors' Investment in Instrumental Techniques Courses Taught by Graduate Student Instructors" published in the September 2009 issue of JRME.
