Women's Soccer Falls to UMBC 2-0 in AE Semifinal
The University of Hartford women's soccer team's 2013 season came to a close on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 3) following a 2-0 loss to the top-seeded UMBC Retrievers in the semifinals of the America East Championship.
The Hawks end 2013 with an 11-6-3 record.
The Hawks finished the semifinal match-up with 11 total shots, led by America East Striker-of-the-Year Chanel Johnson who took four total shots, with three of them forcing the Retrievers keeper to make a save. Hartford keeper, rookie Jessica Jurg, finished the game with four saves.

This was Hartford's fourth straight appearance in the America East Championship tournament. The last time the Hawks won the America East title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament was in 2006.
Hartford finished the 2013 regular season fourth in the America East.
