Amputee Basketball Team to Play on Campus Thursday to Promote Disabled Athletics
ENHP's Department of Rehabilitation Science is proud to host the world’s only all-amputee stand-up basketball team at the Sports Center.
The AMP1 team will be on campus on Thursday, Oct. 17, and will play an exhibition game against the University's intramural basketball team from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the intrmural gym at the Sports Center.
This game is a chance to raise awareness and promote the abilities of those living with physical challenges. It is free and open to the public.
There will be a question-and-answer session with the team following the game.

AMP1 is the nation’s only team of amputees who play stand-up, competitive basketball against able-bodied opponents.
AMP1 players come from all over the country for one sole purpose — to bring hope to those in need, spreading the message to “never give up” and to “follow your dreams” no matter what the circumstances. The AMP1 team is growing and hopes to expand into an organized national league. You can learn more about the AMP1 team at www.amp1basketball.com.
