Basketball's Alex Hall Nets Postgrad Scholarship
Senior Alex Hall added to her academic accolades recently when she was named the 2013 Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) Postgraduate Scholarship recipient. Hall will receive $5,000 towards postgraduate studies in addition to the SEFCU Scholarship that she was presented during the 2013 America East Championship.
Hall, a management and economics/finance major with a 3.91 cumulative grade point average, will receive the scholarship in conjunction with the Association's annual membership meeting being held with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando in June.
On the court, Hall finished her career with 784 points, averaging 6.2 per game. The native of Pembroke, N.H., also finished with 331 rebounds and 174 assists.
A special Review Committee of Division I-AAA athletics directors were responsible for selecting the winners. Completing this task were Committee Chair Tim Hall; Don DiJulia, St. Joseph's; Gene Doris, Fairfield; Bill Hogan, Seattle; Bill Husak, Loyola Marymount; Jean Lenti Ponsetto, DePaul; and Dave Mullins, East Tennessee State.
