A Thank-You From Coach Gallagher
The following is a message from Men's Basketball Head Coach John Gallagher.
Dear University Community,
As we approach the end of the school year, I wanted to thank you for your support during the America East Championship.
One of the most important reasons to attend an institution of higher education, like the University of Hartford, is to have a University “experience.” In the process, a University offers a quality education, the chance to establish a set of new and diverse personal relationships and the opportunity to develop skills that will prepare you for life after graduation (and earn a quality living).
I want to focus on the University experience because that is where I feel that WE add to the value of your time at the University. We want you to have a positive experience and one that you can be proud of. In a world where things are constantly pulling at your attention, I hope that attending any University of Hartford sporting event gives you an outlet from all of the pressures of being a college student.
That's why I wanted to send along this note of thanks to the University community, especially the student body. My players, my coaches and all associated with the Men's Basketball Program were inspired by your support at the America East Championship. It made a huge difference for us and my hope is that it will continue next season and for seasons to come.
When I arrived on campus, my goal was to produce more than a winning basketball team. I wanted our program to represent quality and be a positive part of the University experience for everyone. I would love to get your thoughts on ways we can make the America East Tournament atmosphere an everyday experience. Please email me at email@example.com with any thoughts or questions. Thanks, again.
And remember…once a Hawk, always a Hawk!
Yours with energy,
