Dirty for a Reason

A club to support ceramics arts.

Mission: The mission of the Dirty for a Reason Club is to merge the University and the community through the ceramics arts. The Dirty for a Reason Club events give the opportunity to non-ceramic majors at the University and in the community to experience all aspects of the ceramic arts, the making, firing and glazing of their own pieces. These clay parties also give ceramic majors the opportunity to experience teaching and for others to be taught by them. The Dirty for a Reason Club also gives back to the community and students through donations to charities, the annual Empty Bowls, and through fundraising for the member’s annual trip to the NECECA Conference where they learn further about the ceramics arts.
