Student Outcomes

Upon completion of the Mechanical Engineering Technology program, the successful graduate will have,

a)    appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of their disciplines (PO 1 also ABET a),
b)    ability to apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications of mathematics, science, engineering and technology (PO 2 also ABET b),
c)    ability to conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes (PO 3 also ABET c),
d)    ability to apply creativity in the design of systems, components or processes appropriate to program objectives (PO 4 also ABET d),
e)    ability to function effectively on teams (PO 5 also ABET e),
f)    ability to identify, analyze and solve technical problems (PO 6 also ABET f),
g)    ability to communicate effectively (PO 7 also ABET g),
h)    recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in lifelong learning (PO 8 also ABET h),
i)    ability to understand professional, ethical and social responsibilities (PO 9 also ABET i),
j)    respect for diversity and a knowledge of contemporary professional, societal and global issues (PO 10 also ABET j), and
k)    commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement (PO 11 also ABET k).
