Daniel Petrocelli, who graduated from the Barney School in 2005, is already running the family business at the tender age of 24. Petrocelli is Co-Director of Precious Angels Child Care Center, located in Warwick, Rhode Island. Precious Angels has 28 full time employees and cares for 144 children ranging in age from six weeks to six years old.
Then again, Petrocelli has always been an early achiever.
“I created the business plan for Precious Angels when I was a senior in high school,” he says. “I helped my mom launch the business seven years ago, and it has continued to grow ever since.”
Petrocelli says the education he received at the Barney School has been a key element in the child care center’s continued growth.
“The Barney School has great professors and world class administrators,” Petrocelli says. “They were always willing to make time for me and help me with any problems I might be having.”
Even though he has already achieved a great deal, Petrocelli is clearly not resting on his laurels. He started an MBA program at the Barney School right after graduation and needs just two more classes to complete his graduate degree.
“Even though I’m happy where I am now, I know the MBA will open a whole new world of opportunities for me,” Petrocelli says. “And at my age, I have plenty of time to go exploring.”
