Dr. Ogilvie Conducts a Workshop on Negotiating

On October 17, 2012, Professor John Ogilvie conducted a workshop titled, “Strategies for Negotiating Effectively with Others” as part of the University’s Institute for Leadership & Talent Development seminar series.  Professor Ogilvie has developed courses in negotiating here at Barney that are offered at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. 

During the half-day workshop participants learned about preparing for negotiations, diagnosing negotiating situations, matching strategies to the situation, negotiating  styles, making concessions, developing alternatives, building trust, and persuading others.
