On November 9 and 10, 2012, business representatives and Embassy officials from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia met with Connecticut based businesses and representatives of the State Department of Economic and Community Development, and the U.S. Commerce Department at the Stamford Marriott. The event was organized by the CT Central and Eastern European Network (CT CEENET, www.ctceenet.org ). Barney associate professor of management, Dr. Irina Naoumova was also involved in organizing this event as a founding member of CT CEENET and a member of its executive board. On November 9 Hearst Connecticut Media Group published an article titled ‘Eastern and Central Europe eyeing a Connecticut connection’. The story also appeared in the Connecticut Post, Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Time and Danbury News-Times.
