MSAT Program

Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation

The Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation (MSAT) degree is designed for students who seek to develop or advance a career in professional accounting or taxation in industry, public accounting, government, or nonprofit organizations. The program of study meets the needs of students with undergraduate degrees in accounting who wish a fifth year of study, as well as those students with nonaccounting or nonbusiness undergraduate degrees. Graduates of the program are qualified to take the CPA and CMA examinations.

Course work focuses on two tracks: Financial and Assurance Services, and Taxation. The application of analytical tools for planning, controlling, and decision-making purposes are contained in both tracks.

Both tracks offer a traditional course format in the evening that can be done at one’s own pace. A student with an undergraduate degree in accounting can earn a master’s degree in accounting in as little as seven months. The MSAT program may be completed on a full- or part-time basis.
