Barney Scholars
The Barney Scholar's program is a freshmen program designed to give us an opportunity get to know you better and prepare you for a leadership role in the school. In addition to planned activities throughout the year scholars are invited to be part of the Barney Leadership Council for the freshmen year. Barney Scholars are a selected group of entering Freshman students. Students accepted into the Barney Scholars' program are offered a $1,000 scholarship for the freshmen year. Barney Scholars are also eligible to select the 3-Year accelerated degree Fast-Track Program and earn their degree in 3 years insead of 4. Click for brochure. Freshmen with combined Math and Verbal SAT scores of 1140 are invited to apply for membership into the Scholars Program.
Internship Opportunities Sought for Undergrad Students
Many times friends and family of business school students mention they can provide internships for Barney Students. We appreciate the support and welcome the opportunity to connect you with our business students. Learn more.
Speaker and Guest Lecturer Opportunities are Available
Family members and friends who feel they have useful knowledge or advice for our students are welcome to appear as guest lecturers in class or at a Lunch and Learn event. The Princeton Review conducted a survey of 19,000 current business school graduate students in 296 schools and listed the top 15 schools in 6 core business competencies. Barney was among the top 15 in the General Management category and earned Princeton Review's Student Opinion Honors recognition. The other categories were: Accounting, Finance, Global Management, Marketing and Operations. Joining Barney in the list are Dartmouth, Yale, and Harvard. |

The Barney School is one of 150 schools included in The Aspen Institute Center for Business Education‘s new book, The Sustainable MBA: The 2010-2011 Guide to Business Schools That Are Making a Difference. The book came out in October 2009 and provides highlights of leading MBA programs in 20-plus countries around the world that are integrating social, ethical, and environmental impact into their offerings.
