Electronic Engineering Technology

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)

Electronic Engineering Technology with Mechatronics Concentration
Electronic Engineering Technology with Communications Concentration

In our College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, you can major in Electronic Engineering Technology with a concentration in one of two areas. Mechatronics is the synergistic combination of mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science, and information technology.  Communications includes wireless, networking and telecommunications.

Our Two-Plus-Two Program gives freshmen and transfer students maximum flexibility in designing a well-rounded, professional for future engineering technicians and technologists. The first two years (leading to the Associate in Science) prepare you to be an engineering technician with support responsibilities in such fields as research & development, product installation and maintenance, fabrication, production and testing. The following two years (leading to the Bachelor of Science degree) provide additional technical and general education courses needed for expanded responsibilities and career development.

Graduates often work as members of engineering teams in applied design, manufacturing, product development, production, and operations. They also work in technical services including field engineering, customer support, marketing, and sales.

This Bachelor of Science program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202; 410.347.7700.
