Panelists will also include Cheri Quickmire and Adryan Wallace.
What did African Americans have to say to Adolf Hitler? Jesse Owens winning four gold medals at the Berlin Olympics in 1936 in front of a stunned Adolph Hitler and Joe Louis defeating Max Schmeling for the Heavyweight Championship of the world in 1938 are considered two of the most significant sporting events of the 20th century. It was good vs. evil, freedom vs. Fascism, black vs. white, and the United States of America vs. Germany. It was Hitler’s goal to use both events to prove to the world his theory of Aryan supremacy. Instead, it was two master athletes who humiliated the “master race” as the world inched closer to World War II.
