A Listing Page template allows pages to be created with grouped listing of internal, external, or document links.it is not for use as a Default page. It enables users to group many links together within a specially named listing. Right Column elements can used on pages to incorporate callouts, link lists, or extra content.
Listing Page – Example
Banner Image – The Banner Image can be changed either by choosing an existing banner from Files/Images/Banners folder within the CMS or can be custom-made by sending images to the Office of Marketing and Communication. Changing a banner on a Default Page will affect any pages associated to that page.
Introduction – This section is similar to the Main Content section of a Standard page. It is space for a brief statement or introduction related to the page content. Text can be edited using the WSIWIG or Content Editor.
Name of Grouping – This will be the title for the list of links grouped in this content area. Multiple groups can be added or removed by clicking the [+] and [-] icons located just below the Main Content title. Groups are added left to right in columns of 3. Use the up and down triangles to change the order in which the groups appear on the page.
Page Link – Select the Browse Icon then choose any page within the CMS.
Link to File – Select the Browse Icon then choose any file within the CMS. You could also upload a file at this time. After selecting the Browse Icon, choose the folder to upload the file into, select Choose > Upload use the browse box to select the file from you computer Click Uplaod. The file must be published before it can be active on a webpage.
Link to External Web Site – If the site you want to link to is not located in the CMS. Enter the full URL into the box provided, include the http:// (http://www.google.com/), the best way to do this is to copy the address directly from the browser window and paste it to the Link to External Web Site box.
Link to External Site opens a new window? – Select Yes, this will open an additional browser window with the linked webpage, instead of bring the user away from our site.
Link Text – The words your webpage that will hyperlink to another page or file.
