Ralph is the CIO of Retirement Research Inc. (www.rricentral.com). RRI’s clients include providers of 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plans. He also has a consulting service which provides server based web sites for several clients. He is also a member of the University of Hartford Emeriti group, is on their executive committee and develops/maintains the group’s website at hartford.edu/emeriti. He is a member of The van Rooy Center for Complexity and Conflict Analysis (hartford.edu/complexity) and a member of the Complexity Center Board of Directors. The Complexity Center has members from each college in the University of Hartford and seeks to make complexity theory a part of every discipline.

Previously Ralph served as Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Hartford. He taught almost every course in the curriculum and served on several university committees. Before joining the university, he was an executive at CIGNA responsible for technical support, call center applications, voice response and Internet sites. Before joining CIGNA he was a Project Manager at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where he was a database specialist and led a joint study with IBM’s System R, the first relational database system developed using Ted Codd’s relational model. During his Pratt & Whitney days he was an Adjunct Professor in Electrical Engineering moving later to the newly formed Computer Science department.
