Change/Add Major

Students should pick up a change of major form from either Hillyer 204 or 205.  They should first get their current major advisor's signature, acknowledging that the advisor is aware of the desired change(s).  Students should then get the department chair's signature of the major/minor they are desiring to change to or add.  Once these signatures have been obtained, the form should be returned to H 204 or 205.

Change of Curriculum Form

Double Major

A student has a primary major and a secondary major, both being housed in the same college, i.e. a POGO and HIS double major. They fulfill both sets of major requirements, but only the general education requirements associated with their primary major. The

Students receive one diploma from their primary major, but their transcripts state they have completed two major programs. Students must have a minimum of 120 credits.

Subject Area Major

A student has a primary major and a secondary major, but they are housed in two different colleges, i.e. a POGO major with a Marketing subject area major.  They fulfill both sets of major requirements, but only the general education requirements associated with their primary major.

Students receive one diploma from their primary major, but their transcripts state they have completed two major programs. Students must have a minimum of 120 credits.

Dual/Double Degree:

A student has a primary major and a secondary major and fulfills both sets of major requirements and  both sets of general education requirements associated with the degrees.

Students receive two separate diplomas. Students must have a minimum of 150 credits.
