Dr. Amanda Carlson

Dr. Amanda Carlson is an art historian who specializes in the arts of Africa. Her research focuses on the arts of the Cross River region in Nigeria, contemporary African art and photography, as well as African contributions to the state of Florida.  Read More


Dr. Alexandra Onuf

Dr. Onuf teaches art history survey classes and upper-level courses on Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque art, as well as the history of printmaking and landscape. Her own research focuses on early modern print culture in Northern Europe.  Read More

Dr. Cherra Wyllie is a Mesoamerican archaeologist and illustrator specializing in Classic Veracruz iconography and hieroglyphic inscriptions. She teaches courses in ancient and non-western art.  Read More

Professor Nancy J. Noble teaches courses on art of the U.S., from the colonial period to the 1960s, as well as on museum studies and eighteenth and nineteenth century European art.  Read More


Joy M. Pepe - Adjunct Professor

Professor Pepe is an art historian with long experience teaching art students at the Old Lyme College of Fine Arts. Her areas of specialization are Renaissance and contemporary art. She is very active in arts organizations across Connecticut.  Read More

Raimi Slater - Adjunct Professor

Professor Slater is a studio artist who has exhibited her abstract oil paintings in New York City and locally. Currently, she is working on a series of gouache paintings, which have quirky abstract forms with hard edges, highly saturated colors and no worldly references.  Read More
