Bridget Gromek Presents at the National Council on Undergraduate Research

Class of 2014
Chemistry-Biology Major

Bridget Gromek will be presenting her research on an alternative mechanism for kinetics of the aqueous formation of N-chloro-N-methylacetamide.

Gromek joined the University of Hartford in fall 2009 as a member of Hillyer College.  Before finishing her associates degree at the end of the fall 2010 semester, Gromek coauthored the book The Silver Bridge Disaster of 1967 (published in October 2012) guided in the process by  coauthor and mentor Stephen Bullard, PhD.

Gromek transferred into the College of Arts and Sciences as a chemistry/biology major and started her research project in the spring semester of 2011 that resulted in a presentation at the 245th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in New Orleans and an honors thesis entitled, "Alternative mechanism for the kinetics of the aqueous formation of N-chloro-N-methylacetamide."

She received her bachelor of science degree from the University in December 2013.
