The University of Hartford began its 60th year on February 21, 2017 with a “Where’s Walt” scavenger hunt and birthday cake in the Commons. On this page, we’re sharing photos and a video about the day as well as some interesting and exciting University accomplishments that happened from 2007 to 2017. It’s not a comprehensive list but it is sure to spark some memories.

Jan. 3 – The University of Hartford is the beneficiary of a $2.3 million gift from the estate of Marion A. Bills, a longtime Aetna executive who was the first woman officer at a Hartford insurance company. Read More
May 10 – Lucille M. Nickerson has been elected chair of the University of Hartford Board of Regents, becoming the first woman chair in the University’s history. Read More
June 19 – The University of Hartford clinched its second-straight America East Academic Cup in 2012-13 after posting the highest grade point average of any school in the 18-year history of the award, as announced by the America East conference on June 19. Read More
July 3 – Miles Aron '13, the recipient of one of the University of Hartford’s highest awards at this year’s Commencement, the John G. Martin Scholarship to Oxford University, also has been awarded one of the world’s most prestigious educational honors, a Fulbright scholarship.
July 31 – The University of Hartford's branding initiative has reached its next milestone. Today (Wednesday, July 31) marks the release of UHart's new brand identity system. At its core is a new wordmark (at right) that replaces all previous logos. Read More
Oct. 22 – The University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business has been named one of the nation's most outstanding business schools, according to the education services company, The Princeton Review. Read More
